This section includes information concerning the variety of social events that will take place during the conference.
Wednesday, 8th March 2017: Guided visit of the city of Alcalá de Henares
Events planned for the first day include a guided visit of the city of Alcalá de Henares, included on the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in December 1998. We encourage all participants to join the visit. However, for organizational purposes, it is important that we know how many participants intend to join the visit. Please inform the Organizing Committee.
- Friday, 10th March 2017: Closing dinner
The closing dinner of the Conference will be held at the Parador de Turismo, which is housed within a 17th century monastery-school. . Cost: 45€.
Saturday, 11th March 2017: Trip to Sigüenza
The social programme will conclude on Saturday with a trip to the medieval village of Sigüenza, situated in the province of Guadalajara. We will visit three of its most important sites: the fortress-palace of the bishops, the Cathedral and the Alameda park. In addition, we will walk around the village’s streets and enjoy its regional cuisine, which is known for its game meat and roast recipes. Cost: around 100 euros.
